A typed carbon copy of a history of the Hennepin Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church. J. M. Martin gives information on the organization of the church; members, the board of trustees, other officials, and pastors; and the various church buildings. Included is a description of the decisions and process leading to the building of a new church building at Lyndale Avenue South and Groveland in Minneapolis in 1914. Also included is information on the union of the Hennepin Avenue Church and the Fowler Methodist Episcopal Church in 1911. The history was "compiled to be deposited in the cornerstone of its new place of worship, May 24, 1914."
